The 150,000 square kilometres Suriname’s offshore acreage is divided into blocks which are offered through competitive bidding rounds. Currently active operators are Inpex, Murphy, Tullow Oil and Kosmos.

The next international bidding round will open in the first quarter of 2013 for a period of six months. This round will include blocks on the Demerara Plateau.
