• Transform Faulting

A Series of transform faults trending parallel to the coast of Suriname could provide up-dip fault and/or structural closure to basinward dipping reserves (some of which are characterized by amplitude anomalies) along the sand rich shelf. Along the Transfer Zone, transcurrent movements may have pushed up zones, mainly affecting the carbonate build-ups.
