Aroon Samjhawan studied Environmental Sciences at the Anton de Kom University of Suriname, specializing in Environmental Management. He is currently completing his Law studies at the same university.

He has a broad career within the Surinamese government as the lead on various environment‑related projects. He was a member of the 2020 Election Policy Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Road Authority. He is currently affiliated with the Office of the President of the Republic of Suriname.
