Sergio Akiemboto is an experienced executive, entrepreneur, and strategic advisor with over twenty years of work experience in both the public and private sectors. He is known for his strong analytical skills, integrity, and results‑oriented leadership style.

In 2010, he obtained a master’s degree in public administration from Anton de Kom University of Suriname, and in 2019 a master’s degree in international business from the FHR School of Business in collaboration with Maastricht University.

From 2011 to 2019, he served as President Director of N.V. Grassalco. He subsequently became Minister of Natural Resources. Since 2025, he has been Chief of Staff of the Office of the President.
