The circle represents supply chain opportunities for an O&G development. The inner circle shows the Specialist Oil & Gas services, the other circles represents the specialist and non-specialist supply chain opportunities.

The figure below is showing a typical project life cycle of an O&G project.

The specialist O&G services are important for the Development phase (CAPEX), the specialist and non-specialist services are important for the longer Operation phase (OPEX). For both phases the intention is to maximize the Local Content or In Country Value.
However Local content opportunities are increasing towards the specialist and non-specialist supply chains, due to the longevity of the Operations phase. Local companies must enhance their capabilities to meet international standards and qualifications.
