  1. How can I apply for a vacancy?
    To apply for a job at Staatsolie, simply navigate to our job search database. Staatsolie uses a cloud-based database. Interested individuals can create an account in it and be the first to be informed about all job vacancies.

  2. Is there an e-mail address I can apply to aside from the database?
    We exclusively accept applications through our database.  

  3. Is there an option where I can physically submit my resume and cover letter?
    Regrettably, we do not accept physical submissions of resumes or cover letters. All applications must be submitted through our database.

  4. How can I verify that my resume has been received when applying through the database?
    Upon submitting your application through the database, you will receive an email confirmation acknowledging the receipt of your resume.

  5. What should I do if I search for a job and no results are displayed?
    If there are currently no job openings matching your search criteria, we recommend uploading your resume to our database. This ensures we have your information on file for future opportunities.
    Please keep in mind that in addition to registering in the database, you will still need to apply separately if you are interested in a job vacancy.

  6. Will I always receive a reply?
    While we strive to respond to all applicants, it’s important to understand that due to the high volume of applications we receive, we may not be able to reply to every application individually. However, if your application aligns with our current job openings and requirements, you can anticipate receiving a response as soon as a suitable candidate is identified.

    In the application process, you can expect that there will first be a pre-screening. If you pass this phase, you will be invited for an interview. It is possible that there are multiple interview rounds. Additionally, an assessment and a medical examination are part of the selection process.

    To be eligible for an internship at Staatsolie, candidates must meet the following requirements:
    • Willingness to undergo a drug test (at the expense of Staatsolie). This test must have a negative result.
    • Have a school-assigned internship supervisor.
    • Have a clearly defined assignment with requirements that are suitable for the department where you are completing your internship, alongside an internship supervisor from Staatsolie.

  3. How long do internships typically last?
    The duration of internships varies between 3 and 6 months, depending on the school's assignment.

  4. Is there an opportunity to secure a full-time position after a successful internship at Staatsolie?
    Unfortunately, there is no accelerated application process available for interns. If an intern is interested in a position, it is expected that he/she follows our standard application procedure.

  5.  How can I register for an internship at Staatsolie?
    The application process for an internship at Staatsolie begins with the submission of your request. You can submit this request by sending an email to Stage_vakantiejob@staatsolie.com. Within 2 weeks, you will receive our response regarding your placement.

    TIP: Always try to approach multiple internship opportunities to avoid the risk of not securing a placement later on.

    Make sure your email clearly indicates:
    • The name of your school
    • Your field of study
    • Any internship requirements from the school.

  6. Are internships paid?
    Yes, Staatsolie provides interns with a stipend. Upon acceptance, you will need to provide your bank account details, after which the stipend will be transferred to you every month.

Vacation Jobs at Staatsolie

  1. What types of vacation jobs does Staatsolie offer and in which fields?
    Staatsolie offers various holiday jobs in different fields. These involve simple tasks that typically require a significant amount of time. The tasks range from cleaning duties to office work.

  2. What are the requirements to qualify for a holiday job at Staatsolie?
    To qualify for a holiday job at Staatsolie, your school must be selected as a source of candidates. The school will receive the criteria for candidates. In addition to these criteria, there are also general requirements that we pay attention to.

    Candidates must meet the following criteria:

      • Be able to provide a consent form from a parent/guardian.
      • Both the parents and the candidate must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement.
      • Be between the ages of 16 and 21.
      • Be enrolled in a school.
      • Be willing to undergo a drug test (at the expense of Staatsolie), with a negative result required.
      • Have no prior experience with holiday work at Staatsolie.
      • Be available from Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 15:30.
      • Have a professional appearance.
      • Be able to present a valid medical insurance card.


  3. How long do the vacation jobs typically last?
    The holiday jobs are only available during the summer break and are divided into two periods. Period 1 covers the first 3 weeks of the holiday, and period 2 covers the last 3 weeks of the holiday. It is not possible to work in both periods.

  4. Is there an opportunity to secure a full-time position after a successful vacation job at Staatsolie?
    Unfortunately, there is no accelerated application process available for interns.
    If an intern is interested in a position, it is expected that he/she follows our standard application procedure.

    TIP: We do advise completing your studies before applying. Having your diploma will take you further!

  5. How can I initiate the application process for a vacation job at Staatsolie?
    Unfortunately, it is not possible to apply directly for a vacation job at Staatsolie on your own. Staatsolie annually selects schools and sends the criteria to the school directors. This way, we aim to provide as many students as possible with this opportunity.

  6. Are the vacation jobs paid?
    Yes, vacation workers at Staatsolie receive compensation, which is paid at the end of each period.
