Under the anniversary theme 'Empowering communities and institutions,' we will give even more back to the community in the form of sustainable social, educational, and capacity-building investments. In this context, we have launched the "Staatsolie Scholarship Fund (SSf)." This fund provides 45 scholarships nationwide to qualified students to financially support them in their vocational training, higher vocational education, or academic studies.
The National Development Bank of Suriname N.V. (NOB) will manage the SSf for Staatsolie due to their expertise in this area. NOB will select, guide, and monitor students' academic performance. NOB is also responsible for managing and administrating the fund's resources.
Staatsolie will cover the registration fees and tuition fees for the nominal duration of the study.
Your academic performance will be evaluated twice a year.
If needed and desired, you can also purchase a laptop.
Any student who has successfully completed their secondary education, comes from a family with limited financial means, and wishes to continue their studies can apply for a scholarship. The scholarships are available for the following schools: UNASAT, AMTO, PTC, NATIN, and AdeKUS (excluding the programs in Economics and Law).
